The other evening, I sat down to play something ambient – with a slightly melancholy vibe - that I’ve been playing around with for a few months. I was intending to record it as a basic track, just to see where it might develop.

Instead, I started playing this other ‘thing’ that was more angst-driven. I don’t know quite where it came from (the state of the planet perhaps?!).

It quickly became more layered and, no doubt, rather over the top (yep, that’s me, musically at times). But still with a wee bit of quirky humour, hopefully (if you pay close attention – ha!). All 16 tracks on Garageband were utilised. I suppose it became quite busy; even intense. That was the way it had to go.

The track named itself ‘Dysfunction’. So, er, enjoy…
